Escales del Diable – Devil’s Stairs

These stairs, that are well-known by the inhabitants of Mont-roig, are directly chiselled on the Areny’s red rock and they bridge a considerable heigh difference, although, by means of the safety rails, they are pleasant for young and old.

The stairs connect the Carlins’ Path with the Cova Foradada and the Areny. They are very easy to find if you follow the sign-posting from the Hermitage’s parking area.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

For safety reasons, access to the Camí dels Carlins and other accesses to the Areny area have been prohibited due to the danger of a rocky mass falling from the Areny mountain.
