Castells exhibition in Mont-roig del Camp

Next Sunday, 28 December, Mont-roig will hold its casteller event
Castells, declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, are human towers that have been built for over two hundred years in Camp de Tarragona and Penedès. Since the 1980s, castells have gradually spread throughout Catalonia, Northern Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, becoming a symbol of Catalan identity.
The colles Xiquets de Cambrils and the Castellers de Sant Pere i Sant Pau will meet in Plaça Mossèn Gaietà Ivern as part of the Sant Miquel festivities at 11 a.m.
This will be followed by a castells workshop for children.
